Re: Rav4

They might sell in the us but it looks like a dated Hyundai to me . The mpg is great but its a bloody horrible looking car .. Enjoy from the inside because from the outside they look crap . Aesthetic appeal is, as you obviously realised when making that post, entirely subjective. The evidence from ...

The Seduction of Japanese Engineering Excellence.

The RAV4 is still America's most popular car with 448,000 units sold in 2019 (+10%). That's 60,000 more than its nearest "ordinary car" rival, the Honda CR-V. No numbers available for the DS but overall JLR is expanding its market share steadily, now up to an impressive 0.7%. https://www.caranddriv...

Re: P0027 Exhaust valve

Turns out when LR assistance came out to look at the nice new orange light on my dash, it was error code p0027 Exhaust valve outside it's normal parameters. Best bit is it was the 18th time in 185 starts, but the first time that I had noticed it. Anyone got an idea what it looks like and where it i...

Re: Oil dilution and dpf

Strange - my dealer is happy to do a free oil change "under warranty" at 10500 miles after warning flashed up. The dealer will be re-charging JLR. As its a known issue they just concede Dealers can continue cross-charging JLR for interim oil services up to the end of the initial warranty, or 55,000...

45% all-American beef-cakes vs 55% chics in good 'ol Trumponian America? I'd say that's a fantastic achievement by Toyota - and that was in 2017 with the appallingly-shaped Mark 4. Judging by the amount of lippy I see being touched up in commuter queues the percentage of female Evoque drivers is qu...
