Re: OBD Bluetooth Adapter

A couple of things... Even when you can see if there is an active regeneration in progress and as a result you keep driving until it has finished, you won't stop oil dilution. This is because oil dilution is not caused by just failed active regens, but by *all* active regens. Oil dilution occurs whi...

Re: OBD Bluetooth Adapter

Am also curious on the app as I've been unable to find one that can extract those PID's the data for which seems to be well hidden thus far.

Re: Service indicator

I only have a MY16 which shows no information at all in the car for service distance. I thought that with some software updates the service and oil distance counters were split out and you could see both in the central cluster. Perhaps some other members with MY17+ cars can confirm that. Has your ca...

Re: Service indicator

You can't get the oil dilution, only a dealer or someone with SDD or some Bosch diagnostics can get the ECU estimated dilution. You should be able to see service distance into in the instrument cluster centre display with the ignition on but engine off under vehicle information I think. The way to f...

Re: Service indicator

Yes I did mean the latest Powertrain Control Module update which increases the onboard oil dilution threshold from 6.1% to 10%, and therefore delays the early service warning. However, if the dealer is going to change the oil then that's good. Just double check in the instrument cluster that only th...

Re: Service indicator

And if your car hasn't been to the dealer it could well be still triggering at 6.1%, so the dealer could, perform an oil service and reset only the oil service counter, or B apply the latest software and let you wait until you get to 10% dilution.

I know which I would prefer. :)

Re: CTEK mxs 5.0 help !

If you have the older version of the MXS 5.0 then you need to select the 'snowflake' program for AGM batteries which is what should be fitted to the DS.

Re: Why Do we (I) do it?

The 240hp engines should have ATPC as standard, it was optional on lower output engines, so you should be fine. :)

Re: 2020 Defender launch / reveal video

Saw one of the new Defender prototypes at the weekend...

Was quite battered inside, nothing ripped or hanging off though. Looks good in the flesh.
