Ok thanks , being a bloke I rarely revert to RTFM unless absolutely necessary 🤔
(Read the F***ing manual).
In the context of the DS RTFM normally means "Return to F***ing Manufacturer" - usually at the end of the running in process

Re: Reality Bites?

I did read that article today and thought the sub text is new smaller platform for mini and production moved to new site (possibly with 1 series) or pump up the volume in Holland or Austria. Then the Swindon story comes out and it's not too hard to draw too many dots together. I hope I'm wrong but w...

Re: Servicing question

😂😂😂 Didn't someone recently (BFGDS perhaps?) not try this as it appeared to have JLR approval and better long-term longevity? Apologies in advance if it wasn't BFGDS, it might have been one of our Aussie members thinking about it, but I'm sure that they reported further mileage to oil dilution........

Re: Thoughts on Merc E220d Cabriolet

In many ways the BL Maxi is like the DS. Concept perfect and right on the money (the Maxi with a hatchback and folding rear seats with fwd [maybe the Renault 16 pioneered this though?] and the DS with a compact but useable 7 seat package in under 4.6m) but with shocking build quality (relative to it...

Re: Thoughts on Merc E220d Cabriolet

OK - I thought LR were still going with In Control Apps. I know the current RRS does not have AA/ACP. The handling of the cabriolet is not as sharp as a BMW, but in all honesty its a 1845kg full size 4 seater cabriolet; if I wanted something fun to drive I'd buy a Mk2 Ford Focus, find some quiet B r...

Re: Big Discounts at Marshalls

NDS, This includes VAT rebate aswell. However, Marshalls see the Forces as cash cows as they are/were often yearly returners. Their service level is woefully below the levels given to normal retail customers who they actually treat as customers. The service community is small and they talk. Marshall...

Thoughts on Merc E220d Cabriolet

So I have now collected my wifes new E Class Cabriolet and I thought as a taster before I get hold of my Estate next months (and say good bye to my DS) I would give you a few thoughts about the Merc compared to my DS. Price: So both our cars are AMG Line, Premium Plus, Dvr Assistance Plus Pack with ...

Re: 21,000 miles service

As an aside, my Adblu counter has been stuck at 4038 miles since June. No warnings or faults, it's just not counting down, which as we know from elsewhere on this forum, is a sonic sensor fault. Whilst the part is covered under warranty, the draining of the Adblu tank is chargeable labour at £156/u...
