Re: Time for my DS to go

Sadly as another Ex DS owner, the chances are that in a couple of months time you'll have long forgotten about your DS and wondered why you bought it in the first place. Currently sitting on 6000 in my E Class. Not rattles, no squeaks. Active regen about once every 1000 miles. Stop start system work...

Re: New car warranty roadside assistance limited to 30 days in Europe

I don't think all manufacturers are the same. I know Mercedes are not. The wording in the LR service book in my old FL2 and RRE was exactly the same as the wording in the Ford book (I had a misbehaving 3 month old Focus aswell at the time and battled against the same wording (and won!)) so I expect ...

Re: front mudflaps on Dynamic

There is a very good video (viewtopic.php?f=11&t=5983) (well in my opinion anyway    ) on fitting mudflaps on this forum. Not a Dynamic model, but apart form the shape of the mudflap there can't be too much difference?

Oh and make sure your boat/caravan is under 7.5m long or it won't get towed!

Fortunately we have always kept our ADAC break down cover (German AA equivalent) and have always called them first as their onward mobility service level is much better than LR.

Re: Re-use Puncture Repair Compressor

Just go to any car or caravan accessory shop and by the same (non LR) branded kit for 1/4 of the price? My Merc is on run flats so just to be sure of hopefully getting off the motorway I keep the gunk kit that came with my caravan in the car (just in case). From ebay research its about £30 to £35 fo...

Re: The death of diesel? Or the future?

Was in a VW dealership getting some parts for my wife’s Golf (she ran into a bike being pushed along and the pedal broke some grilles - it’s a long story). Anyway, had a look around the cars and was taken aback at the limited range of cars they were displaying. Of the dozen or so cars, there are ab...

Re: New Evoque

Personally I have to say I think the car looks really good (I was a very early RRE adopter and loved it); clearly replacing the original was going to be a hard act. From experience I don't think that the RRE has suffered with the build quality issues that seem to affect DS's, certainly my MY12 and M...

Re: Winter tyre/alloy combination advice

Hello, anybody know if the 16" rims will fit on the Discovery Sports ? I mean fitting over the discs and calipers. I am running currently the standard 18" wheels but I need some winter wheels. I see the Freelanders 2 have them as standard. Definitely not - there is only a sliver of space with 17" w...

I have just got back from a day trip to visit an unwell relative of in Wales!
