Re: Cruise Control downhill

On my GLC the standard cruise control includes the “braking” feature. I’m not aware of any other system that Mercedes offer but may be wrong.

Re: Cruise Control downhill

It was normal (if that’s the right word!) on my DS’s and Evoque.

Personally I find the Mercedes system far better since it does what it says. And yes it does apply the brakes if required.

Each case is different, do what’s right for you.
I completely agree. Tell them what YOU want.

I’ve changed models within the JLR model range without problems as you can see from my signature.

Re: Electric Jaguar XJ?!?

Hi Steve,

It doesn’t make much sense to me either but I suppose that they are thinking at least we can publish something positive for a change.

Hopefully nobody was seriously hurt Bob. I can well understand your concerns on investing in further JLR products. It’s a tragedy really but it doesn’t really seem to bother them.

Good luck and hope you get manage many years of trouble free motoring.

Re: Smart key not working

I would have thought it somewhat unlikely that the battery in both keys would need replacing so one might assume a problem of some kind.

Re: Towing a caravan with 240 petrol

Fuel consumption would, as with any petrol engined vehicle towing a trailer, go through the roof. The engine would generally be in a high rev band implying a noiser ride. Stick to Diesel if you can.
