Re: New member in Taunton, Somerset

Hi all, new member joined yesterday so I thought I best introduce myself! I'm Adam and I'm in Taunton, Somerset. Not originally from here - I grew up in Worcestershire - but we moved down here almost 8 years ago and loving it. Currently running a DS ED4 HSE in Black that we took delivery off at the...

My local main dealer in Devon has just charged me £540 for my DS oil service which was required at 14000miles, dread to think what a full service will be £540?!! OMG. I’m in Devon, Matford in Exeter have done two oil changes on mine so far, first at 10k foc, second at 21k along with first service. ...

Re: Towbar

Yes 7 seat with underslung spare wheel. I don't have any photos with the trim, and it is foul outside! But I bought it on Ebay. Had to come from China but IO could not find small quantities anywhere else. The trim I used was https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/0-5mm-13mm-Rubber-U-Channel-Edging-Trim-Seal-Ed...

Re: Towbar

Some more photos of a fitted Towtrust for you. I had to change the 13 pin socket on mine so I could connect the spare pin for a reverse camera signal cable. Camera installed on van and the signal comes through for a small screen in the cubby hole by the gear selector. No connections for that to the...

Re: Towbar

When I went in the Witter Web site they say they don't have a tow bar for a 7 seat + Space saver. Does the Tow trust model work for this configuration? Bugginbob, do you have any pictures of the fitting when towbar is detached? Thanks. The only one I can find at the mo is one with the towbar attach...

Re: Towbar

I have the tow trust detachable bar as well. Neither the socket or electrics are visible when bar removed. I’ve got a rubbish trim cut from my installer unlike some others which is visible but it’s not a big enough deal to bother spending money replacing.

With only a 54 litre tank that is truly challenging.

I take my hat off to all those who have achieved it.
After 22k i’m Still waiting to make it to 300 before the light comes on 😂

Re: Replacing Tyres

No. I mean worn in patches, so that the tyre was becoming, if you like, a polygon. That's why it was noisy. I don't think the mere results of over-inflation would have seemed unusual to my tyre fitter! That sounds like “cupping” so you end up with uneven worn patches on the tyre. I’ve had it on two...

Re: Clock change

I think it’s odd that it can’t change itself as well but better than my wife’s Seat which auto changed on the touchscreen/nav /radio but needed manually changing on the instrument binnacle between speedo/rev counter so was displaying two different times at the same time..... Still at least the DS ti...

Re: 20” ,19” or 18”. Is size important?

I have the 20’s and live in the middle of nowhere. I was nervous of ditches/debris at first but after 18k i’ve Not damaged the wheels. My only comparison to the 18’s is when i’ve Had a courtesy disco from the dealer. I prefer the 20’s handling and don’t find them uncomfortable at all.
