Re: Pulled the Trigger

I guess you have some inside information. Given that the Evoque and Disco Sport are produced on the same production line I find it odd that they would use two different platforms. Tim I am not claiming insider knowledge. It's just that, as a plc, JLR is bound by law to play many of its cards face u...

And no one ever said that all models would be updated or replaced in 2019.
I missed the word "onwards". Please accept my apologies.

Re: Pulled the Trigger

There is a DS based on the new Evoque due this year or early next. Not sure why you don’t believe it! It's all about the finances. After two consecutive loss-making quarters the board appointed the Boston Consulting Group in October 2018 to go through the books and find out whether the executives h...

Re: Pulled the Trigger

Also, page 32 shows that every model gets new or refreshed in MY20 onwards and we are in MY20 (for example the new Evoque is actually listed as a MY20 in the UK if you look at the owner’s manual at http://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/ ). I believe that this is wrong for two reasons. The product road...

Re: Pulled the Trigger

Could you expand on the phrase "one of the last current model DSs" please? Are they making the next model already? The new DS is coming this summer, so they're no longer taking configured orders for the current model. They're selling the last ones being built as "stock". MY20 specs and prices are n...

Re: Incorrect service mileage reset?

It’s a MY 18 so I’ve always had a working service indicator! It had an interim oil change at 10500 miles so I know about oil dilution. However, it does not answer my question regarding why they have deleted 1000 miles immediately after the oil change. Are you saying that ALL cars are reset to 19850...

Re: Incorrect service mileage reset?

Picked up my DS from its 21000 mile service today and N289 campaign. It was actually at 21200 miles, so after driving the 8 miles home I was expecting the service interval to show about 20800 miles, but it is showing 19850 miles. Should I complain to the dealer and demand they reset it properly, or...

Re: EDC17: chickens coming home.

100% End of the day they were lucky VW were caught just before the DS released with the ingenium. Then changes were made and adblue usage increased enormously. My conclusion is maybe they didn’t cheat in the end but the intention was certainly there, whether it was knowingly or oblivious to what Ro...

EDC17: chickens coming home.

It's interesting to see the way they're going after Martin Winterkorn. The German prosecutors appear to be saying that VW cars fitted with the illegal EDC17 software devices enabled were "more saleable" than would otherwise have been the case, had VW released them with the NOx control systems workin...

Re: Some times JLR do the right thing

Well done to Marshalls - and to every other dealer who has been mentioned as going the extra mile. :D The "horse's mouth" regarding the impact of good and bad customer experiences is CX Solutions . formerly known as TARP Worldwide. Somebody who cares enough about JLR probably ought to send a copy of...
