Re: MY16 Enhancement programme ?

I received the letter below from Land Rover saying that there is to be an enhancement programme for MY16 DS vehicles. However the dealers have not heard about it, and there's nothing on Topix. Anyone received similar letters or know any more about it ? I've written to LR customer services. LR lette...

Re: Navigation Map Update available

So glad I came across this post, thankyou. Updated (FOC) August 2015 built DS (MY16) from map 2014Q120140828 (In car system said 20.05.15 / activation date 16.11.15) to new update 26.3.9908. It was a very easy process. I copied the contents of the card to my computer before I initiated the download ...

Re: Service interval

As predicted, I took my DS into the dealer today and was told the 'Service Required' Warning is an entirely software problem and there is no need for an oil change/new filter. I was told to just ignore it and come back at 42,000 miles when next service is due. It has now done 28,000. I showed the s...

Re: Service interval

In light of Simons high fuel dilution , high wear metals, should service departments now be calling back those they saw fit (at the time) not to change the oil on? They now know it should have been changed.! I wonder how many are floating round , unknown to owners, that have poor quality oil in the...

Re: Service interval

Steve - Spreading the good word of our lord and saviour, VeryDiscoSport. Second that. It would hopefully appear things might just be moving forward at last. Thank you VDS for educating me and for your efforts in crystallising this huge issue with continued determination to fight this issue to the e...

Re: Service interval

At this stage my main thoughts are : 1. I have not had any communication from Land Rover. As a consequence I ran the vehicle for a further 5,250 miles when it needed an oil service. Has anyone had any official communication from Land Rover or dealers regarding these issues? They are in radio silenc...

Re: Service interval

2. I am very concerned that long term damage could have been caused to my engine looking at my oil analysis. What does everyone think? My aim was to keep the vehicle for a long time.

See post passim.
Sorry, new here. How do I find this post? Thanks. Adam

Re: Service interval

Very concerned about the long term issue too. Purchased my vehicle at 1 year old last November. Still another year or so of guarantee, but what about after that seeing that my oil change was completed 5,000 miles after the app told me it needed an oil change, and my oil analysis looked frightening! ...

Re: INGENIUM 2.0 DIESEL OIL ANALYSIS RESULTS

Whoah. That doesn't look good. I do hope you're not considering keeping this car beyond the warranty period? Steve Steve, Unfortunately I purchased the car to keep for a long time. Quite frankly I am gob smacked to have been told 5,250 miles before the oil change (in April 17) that it...

Re: INGENIUM 2.0 DIESEL OIL ANALYSIS RESULTS

diagnostic 1.JPG There, fixed that for you :D Thanks for the fix Mamil  but do you think LR will be paying for new engines when they all start failing all over the country? This vehicle is a long term purchase! How do I report my thoughts to LR? Anyone had any replies from LR regarding their s...
