Re: DPF Fault !!!!!

Few questions please 1) From the Exhaust System DPF operation.pdf it states passive regeneration Does this mean passive regeneration only slows down soot build up - Soot burnt < soot generated - surely not ..aaargh Sadly, yes. Passive regeneration does nothing during normal driving and only reduces...

Re: New DS? Dilemma re oil dilution etc

It is obvios the diagram shows a different part to the old Evoque. If you check the shape of the previous pipe it bend towards the centre of the chassis during the downward sloping section. The diagram of the '20 model shows the straight pipe in the longitudinal axis. So maybe it works a little bet...

Re: New DS? Dilemma re oil dilution etc

Acknowledged. But the L551 2.0L diesel still has something that looks suspiciously like the 16MY/17MY/18MY/19MY exhaust - until someone can produce a different parts diagram to the one I was given.

Re: Rav4

One nice improvement is that the adaptive cruise control now stalks the car in front at any speed and even stays engaged during stops of up to 2 seconds. If you have this on with the lane assist steering I've found that it drives itself in traffic, On the down-side I've had to swap the fog lig...

Fuel back to 10p / mile

If you're not a fan of holding onto your money look away now - this post isn't intended for you. The new car has now completed 1,000 miles and the results of the full-tank fuel trial are in. I allowed it to count down to 1 mile to the fuel pump symbol at which point the instrument display was as sho...

Re: New Petrol or Diesel?

Good points. But I asked to be shown the exhaust system for the "new" 2019 L551 and what I reproduced here is what came off the printer. Feel free to prove that they made a mistake because this is important information for potential diesel buyers. Incidentally, from wiki Second generation (L551; 201...

Re: New DS? Dilemma re oil dilution etc

That doesn’t appear to be the new exhaust system. That is for the older AJ200D not the new AJ200 LF DSL MD NFE HARN. This can be seen in the bottom right hand corner along with the 2018 date. Incidentally, the new Evoque starts at MY20. Fair points. But I asked to be shown the exhaust system for th...

Re: New Petrol or Diesel?

Time approaching to go for a replacement DS, to choose Petrol or Diesel that is the question! DPF’s and the obligatory regenerations are all bad news, making the petrol engine sound a simpler package. I do tow and diesel has been good for this work and also not bad on fuel economy, but I am still a...

New DS Diesel will have old exhaust

Does anyone know if they have improved the set up on the 2020 model (or the new Evoke as thats now out? That is the question we all want an answer to... will take some time for it to pan out. There's little excuse though for not sorting it out on the new models! I visited my friendly dealer this af...

Re: Rav4

Glad you're enjoying it but wait until you fill up with petrol! This car is totally outstanding. Two pictures.... No. 1 taken on Friday afternoon, No. 2 this evening after a further 133 miles of mixed driving. It won't need re-fueling until it has completed 624 miles, with another 1.5 imp gallon res...
