Re: 2020 Service Plan cost

Mine is a 2020 model P250 and got quoted total cost of the plan being £1660.01. Seemed a hell of a lot after having 5 years servicing for £499 (though I got mine free). However, if I go back to Freelander 2 times they averaged about £300/year, it is very similar at £297.24/year. 5 months ago I did a...

Re: New Ford Puma

Surprised you aren't going near the Captur, they all still look fresh and the latest one is another evolution, with ever improving build quality. My wife has had a 17 plate 1.5DCi Dynamique S Automatic from new and it has been totally painless motoring. RFL is zero and mpg is around 53 average. It's...

Re: Extended warranty worth it?

Very worth it! I made two claims - no quibbles at all. If you pay the monthly rolling version you can just terminate part way through if you're buying another JLR vehicle, further premiums waved.

Re: 2020 Fuel Economy

Similar to lodgic, at 20-23mpg pottering about. Average mpg shows at 22.5 currently. 26.3mpg on a 38 mile run this morning but some queueing in that. Best I've had is 29.6 mpg to date, but I think she'll do early 30s on a long run. Quite content with it, as the drive is lovely, quiet and smooth. It'...

Re: MY20 Impressions

I agree, the 'fully' digital dash display is excellent. I have mine set to one central rev counter dial showing speed/gear setting/fuel and temp gauges/speed limit. The left section I have as driver assistance (adaptive cruise etc) and the right section as media. As I've got the HUD, the satnav show...

Re: Which engine

With your low mileage, definitely go for the petrol P250, it's super smooth and you'll have none of the inherent problems (DPF/oil dilution etc) that the diesel suffers. I do less than 6k miles per year and mainly short trips, so it was a no brainer for me, as it's literally asking for trouble if yo...

Re: Change indicator settings

As the 3 flashes are purely there for convenience for quick motorway/dual carriageway lane changes, I don't see your problem, as you can just push slightly harder to fully engage the indicators if you want them on longer. Then just disengage or let them self cancel when you straighten the steering w...

Just for clarity, Ambient Lighting is standard on every model/spec of the new DS. The Configurable Ambient Lighting (10 selectable colours) is an option.

Re: Windsor Leather Cleaner

I'd suggest Autoglym Leather Cleaner and then condition it with Autoglym Leather Balm. I treated my Windsor leather with the balm as soon as I got the new car in September.

Re: Extended warranties

I have been looking at JLR last night. It seems you can pay monthly without any apr which eases the pain a bit. Sorry, I forgot to mention that you don't pay interest when using the rolling monthly payments, so it's win/win, as you only pay for what period you've used it, and don't pay the balance ...
