Re: Distance to next service on basic SE model (2016)

Not sure a 2016 can show the service info, but all DS can use the InControl app so its worthwhile for the other stuff. Search in app store (or wherever for 'droid) for Land Rover Remote, there are two - green background is the current app (no service data), the white background is the beta and has ...

Re: Auto Stop Start not working

Ours became erratic after around 3 years of daily usage. It kicked in less and less until it just stopped altogether. No visual cues just didn’t work. In order to restore the function I installed a new battery and BMS module on the negative terminal. Worked perfectly since. I’m very happy with stop/...

Re: DEF Level reset - does a dealer have to do it?

The advice is to put no more than 10litres in and after a short drive it will automatically reset.

You may have overfilled it, causing the error you describe.
A trip to the dealers may be required to rectify it.

Re: Recall to fix CO2 emissions - whats the fix?

My petrol DS now has 10% better mpg since the recall, so I am well pleased. However, start/stop never works even after a 150 mile motorway journey. Actually, I cant remember if it worked before. And yes I have tried all the buttons in the car that might affect stop/start. Stop/start stopped on ours...

Re: Long term ownership

We will have ours for around 6 years and yes we do have an extended warranty (paid for itself this year with an oil leak issue).

Would be nice to get a definitive word on whether this is a 'pro system' only thing or applies to us peasants on the 8" screens :)

If it is also for 8" units, is it restricted to newer hardware or does a dealer software update enable it?

Re: Introducing wireless software updates for your Land Rover

I’m sure some good folk from the forum will be along shortly who have more experience with in control touch pro system (the bigger 10” screen system) who can advise how to set this up. As it’s a new feature, you may have to wait until the info is available. As for the hidden menu I mentioned, it app...

Re: Introducing wireless software updates for your Land Rover

On other marks, WiFi update means you park your car near enough to pick up the WiFi signal from a nearby wireless router (eg your home broadband) and configure the car to access that network (entering SSID and WPA key). It will then use your home WiFi network to download any update. The car itself d...

Re: Incorrect diesel exhaust fluid quality detected

Some good independents have access to the LR systems to perform updates and their labour rates are typically much lower than the franchise dealers. Usually, they will check for updates during a service and you typically don’t pay more than the menu price for that service. Personally, our DS has alwa...
