Re: Bought Evoque wheels 20", but they do not fit DS. See pictures.

We are getting a bit confused here. Evoque wheels are fine on both FL2 and DS. They just give a slightly wider track on the FL2 . However Freelander wheels are NOT OK for the DS or Evoque as they sit too close to the struts. The problem here is not just the ET, it's also that the wheels need longer ...

Re: Car now idle

That's the other way to do it. Not much use for laying the car up though! Even if you put it in neutral and switch off I understand it reverts to "park" after a set length of time.

Re: Should we SORN?

I see that Adrian Flux (see their recent post) offer laid-up insurance for SORNed vehicles. This might be of use, assuming NCB wouldn't be affected if you paused your main insurance.

Re: Another service

You may have a software glitch. When you say "on dash" do you mean a warning message has flashed up, or are you reading the "miles to service" in Vehicle info? I had a false message flash up in my Evoque, while the "miles to service" had a different figure. I got a free oil change anyway, mind you. ...

Re: Bought Evoque wheels 20", but they do not fit DS. See pictures.

I'm surprised by this. If they are genuine Evoque wheels they should fit. The hubs I'm sure are the same. I had no trouble using 18" Evoque wheels on my DS. The new model Evoque also has the same hubs. Edit - I've just checked my Evoque wheels and they are ET45. I don't think the wheels you have are...

Re: Car now idle

I think that's the point. I know there's a complicated way of doing it if you want to change the rear pads (it's detailed on here somewhere) but it's a lot of hassle to go to just in case the brakes decide to stick on. Thinking laterally, I wonder if pads sticking is the reason some people have been...

There is someone on one of the Evoque forums whose car has apparently been built but not delivered. https://www.evoqueownersclub.co.uk/thre ... ost-273086

Re: Car now idle

How do you make sure the parking brake is off? It seems to go on automatically when the engine is switched off. Likewise the transmission automatically goes into park.

Re: AdBlue/DEF Range Thread

Hi Guys Just a quick note that the Dosing error was due to a clogged DEF injector. This caused the NOx sensor to go out of limits. Remove and clean the sensor with water. I'll try and attach photos. Thanks for the pics. I knew this was a simple job, but wasn't sure exactly where to find the injecto...
