Re: Latest MY2016.5 software

On another thread two methods of listing ‘hidden’ version numbers was described. I do not know if together they list all software version numbers for a Discovery Sport. I have only tried the first so far. 1) Select either FM or AM radio, then touch ‘Source’ for an extended period (around 30secs I re...

Re: Stop ship - N212 UPS5718-2 - Incorrectly assembled oil pump

I should point out the bulletin indicates, a car needs to have its specific VIN number checked with JLR to determine if an individual cars is affected. So all cars in the VIN range are not affected by this serious issue.

Re: DS Stop ship - Incorrectly assembled oil pump

All cars in the VIN range are not affected by this serious issue. It has been ponted out to me that the Bulletin includes the following wording:- “ Check the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Claims Submission System to make sure that the vehicle is affected by this bulletin prior to starting this service ins...

Re: LTB01025

LTB01025 just happens to be one I downloaded, which I have now attached.

FYI, if you restrict your documents to Bulletins and a single model & year, then I recall one hours TOPiX use costs about £8, and 24hr access costs about £11. So not a huge cost, unless you have to do it frequently.

Re: DS Stop ship - Incorrectly assembled oil pump

On 12/6/18 JLR issued an update for the incorrectly assembled oil pump issue. It looks like there must be a real issue. The corrective action is the oil pump must be replaced on any car in the VIN range, provided it has not yet been passed to the new owner. Replacing the oil pump is a four hour job,...

Re: Stop ship - N212 UPS5718-3 - Incorrectly assembled oil pump

On 12/6/18 JLR issued an update for the incorrectly assembled oil pump issue. It would seem there must be a real issue. The corrective action is the oil pump must be replaced on any car in the VIN range, provided it has not yet been passed to the new owner. Replacing the oil pump is a four hour job,...

Re: New owner questions

To play your desired music in order, rather than random default:- Go to browse, then select folder, or artist, or album. Then select a track from your selection & it should then play all the tracks in never ending circular order. As regards insurance:- Normally, I dont buy any of the extra insurance...

Re: Living with a... Land Rover Discovery Sport...

Badgerface, did you get them to look again at your rear camera, and particularly with reference to Bulletin LTB1163v2? After my dealer executed that Bulletin I have not had a single rear camera failure for a week, in over 60 uses of reverse. Whereas previously it failed about 30% of the time in reve...

Re: NEW Close-Coupled DPF?

wardie, you are absolutely right that extra options are poorly valued on a resale. When I configured an HSE and an SE-TECH (the later with options I wanted) there was only £1K difference in the list price after allowing for the Land Rover contribution on the HSE. So I thought it a no brainer to go f...

Re: Speed limit warning

On a new car if you configurer Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) the voice dissappears. Instead the current speed limit flashes if you go over the threshold. Also instead of being able to carefully specify your own threshold you only get coarse option thresholds like 0, +5, and +10 over the limit. In m...
