Re: Discovery Sport 2020 Seats

HI, Yes, I agree it does fall within warranty, I do not think the Dealership will resist, in point of fact I notified them within the first week of ownership of my dissatisfaction with the quality of the seat covers. They requested a replacement for the back seat & rejected it directly with Land Rov...

Discovery Sport 2020 Seats

Rear seat,- both back & seat pan are badly creased, the leather on the piping is peeling off & some area of stitching are tearing the leather & leather is peeling off. There are similar effe...

Re: Rejection finally complete - oil dilution

I was lucky in that, for once, I purchased a vehicle withPCP via Jaguar Land Rover Finance (Black Horse). I had balance shaft issues at around 7000miles. Repaired. The dealer chose not to fit up-rated balance shafts. The units failed a second time 3800 miles later. There were a number of other issue...

Re: Rejection finally complete - oil dilution

RE: Rejection - Balance Shaft Issues. My rejection process was completed 1st November when I received a new Disco Sport 2020 as a nil invoice vehicle. The contract with Jaguar LandRover carries on to completion with no additional costs applied. After 1300 miles the new vehicle is a lot better. The r...

Re: Engine replacing Balance Shaft

Hi, I am not an engineer & could not comment on the technical arguments, but I can spot a real worry hear for members who intend to keep their vehicle, failure of the solonoid in future could be a disaster.A faulty part stuck in the closed position could ( I assume) lead to loss of oil supply & even...

Re: Engine replacing Balance Shaft

Thank you Dashine & Ian_S for both your posts. The extra ADD BLUE useage now makes sense. Pity the technical department at JLR could not be bothered to give me a proper explanation. The dealers were no better.

Re: Engine replacing Balance Shaft

Well, I would not say that I am entirely happy with the situation I am in, but it seems to me that this is the best worse option. I agree entirley with your comments, that is why I am so relieved I aquired this vehicle via PCP rather than my usual cash purchase, I have options. However, should the f...

Re: Engine replacing Balance Shaft

Update on my Discovery Sport Balance Shaft failure. I have been contacted by LRJ, there position is that they are a manufacturer of vehicles, my contract is with the retailer. If I had wished to Reject then the proper line of communication is via the retailer. They implied however that they would pu...
