Had new car had DPF repositioned?
The $64K question! The fuel filler Is trapezoidal now, with the Adblue filler behind, so there’s (more) space between engine and bulkhead now, but until it gets in the showroom or someone gets under one we won’t know!

Re: Boot bike rack recommendation

I’ve been using roof rack mounted Thule bike racks for years. Unfortunately with my current DS, I’ve got fed up with the palaver of needing a step ladder to lift 3 bikes up there. So the new car will have a tow bar fitted version. However, I’m not sure why JLR charge so much for theirs (Thule rebad...

Re: Rejection finally complete - oil dilution

Does that mean Ford are the lowest of the low? I know Fords have DPF and dilution issues if you don’t do the miles, most Euro6 diesels do. I have a friend who is GM of a Ford dealership who gets his sales guys to grill the customer to make sure they’re going to do the mileage as he doesn’t want them...

Re: New model year now on web site

New model with Landmark features is £13k more than I just paid (ok, it has some extra features as standard) but that’s a big hike in price. That’s scary. I haven’t done much research yet but hopefully the increase doesn’t frighten me off later this year So the new models list price is more then the...

Re: New model year now on web site

Depends if you ignore the R-Dynamic and treat the new SE as the old HSE which it roughly appears to be. I disagree, just done a HSE quote and to get what I’ve got on my HSE lux I had to add lots of extras and I still don’t have everything I have on my car. List price is £10k more than I paid for th...

Re: New model year now on web site

There’s quite a price hike for me if I do like for like - about £6.5k. All that really gets me is a nicer sat nav and a digital dashboard. Like for like spec (SE vs HSE) or trim level (HSE vs HSE)? LR do seem to have shot themselves in the foot if you look at a trim level price comparison as HSE no...

Re: Is tonight the night?

missed out on last of old model , so maybe a P250 HSE for me, not sure if a dynamic model maybe?? There’s a stock checker alongside side the DS configurator where you can check existing stock of the ‘old’ model. Do you think there is any way a dealer can do a better check on old spec 290's in stock...
