Re: 2020 model

Tell them you'll take it as it is from the factory and fill it up yourself, or if you have a Service Plan (assuming they still do free AdBlue?), book it in an hour later for the free AdBlue fill up.

Re: 2020 model

Not wishing to rain on anyone’s parade (or any other expression the comes to mind), I’m sure the MY20 is a huge improvement over MY15/16/17 etc. But there’s been a continuous improvement plan in place at LR and the MY19 was similarly a huge difference from my MY16. I guess we can only tell if there’...

Having a manual handbrake is taking some getting used to again though 😂
I forget to use that funny ratcheted lever between the front seats on my wife’s Golf. I do get shouted at if she’s in the car as I pull off wondering where the 160bhp has gone! :D

Re: Mpg query

Hi lodgic - early days and no decent trips yet, so currently I'm getting low to mid 20s. I hope to see that go up a bit. I’d be interested too as we seem to have got almost the same mpg with the D180, although I have the P240 now. I’m getting 24mpg over almost 8K miles so far, thankfully it is incr...

Re: Can I find it?!

Don’t think I’ve ever heard it, rule in my car is that the belts are on before the engines on, and are on until the engines off. Do not understand these people who drive off still putting the seat belt on, just make it a part of the getting in and starting the car process. In the days when you had t...

Re: What am I?

L550 was the code name for the DS while under development. Not sure about LC. All tow bars for 7 seat & spare, LR or third party should fit your DS, the engine makes no difference. For example I have a TowTrust detachable on my MY19 P240 with 7 seats and underslung spare.

Re: Mpg query

Best check somewhere like Real MPG on HonestJohn. Owners mpg vary a lot depending on how you use the car, town / country / motorway, the cruising speed as some people get fantastic figures at 50mph through miles of roadworks, anything over 70mph murders the mpg. DPF regens use diesels so that doesn’...

Re: what % dilution is acceptable

what they said was that the car didnt need an oil change as the dilution was only 9.8% - their policy is not to change before 12% they have now reset the senor You need to separate between LR and the dealer, they are not the same thing. LR set the car to request oil change at 6%, and then with the ...

Re: what % dilution is acceptable

so it will ping once it goes >10% Well, it’s pinged already if it’s told you it needed a service, maybe it was the 6% calculation and they’ve had it analysed it at 9.8%. If the diagnostics said 9.8% it’s gained 3.8% pretty quickly. I don’t see how if the car pinged at all, how they can deny an oil ...

Re: what % dilution is acceptable

LR themselves recently changed the algorithm that calculates and flags up ‘Service Required’ from 6% dilution to 10% (the N289 update I think), so I guess that’s the official answer. The real answer is ‘how long is a piece of string?’, as no one knows the impact at varying percentages.
