Re: Defender woes?

Was reading on the defender forum one chap parked it under a tree and the twigs have dented / lock marked his roof.

Seems they’ve gone fir the flimsy thin roofs we had in the DS if you don’t have the pano roof.

Dealers says don’t park your defender under a tree 🙄

Re: Delays in deliveries - October 2020

So not to temp fate from VDS & other RAV4 owners I thought I’d just help them with the true meaning of HmmmUK’s Brilliant Humour 😂 Correct interpretation below Picture No1, Obviously LR Discovery Sport = Good looking thoroughbred from a classy source & nothing like the rest of field as shown in pic...

Re: Potential new owner seeks opinions

DS is not a true 7=seater.
As folks have said above a true 7 seater is a bigger car not a DS.

If I wanted 7 seats I’d look at the XC90 or Q7 or D5

If , as it appears cost is your deciding factor, then look at used not new , that way you get the correct car for your purpose.

Re: Samsung Batteries causing PHEV fires?

Got to admit that’s one thing that always lurks in the back of my mind having been in a car that went on fire is the fact your sitting in top of the lithium ion batteries under the floor. At least in conventional it’s the engine at the front with a cut off to the fuel at the rear. I was only meters ...

Re: PHEV 4wd when battery is flat - how ?

Surely the answer was given above. If you know that you are going into the rough, be sure to save enough battery power. Belt-driven generators aren't powerful enough to create the sort of instantaneous DC torque required to clamber up a gravel/mud track. Added to which the total power from the 3-po...

Re: WINTER TYRES ORDERED

The original tyres on my 68 plate disco sport are looking like they won't last much more than the 21000 on the clock now, I think I might get another 2 to 3000 miles tops. They are the OE Continentals. With winter coming on Ive order a full se of Vrederstien Wintrac Pro tyres. I ve previously run s...

Re: PHEV 4wd when battery is flat - how ?

I am soooo glad I went for the non-electric option. There is a recipe for reliability of KISS = Keep it Simple Stupid and this looks like a lot of things to go badly wrong, and after the warranty expires expensively wrong at dealership rates - most independents will take years to get up to speed wi...
