Balancer Shaft Bearings?
Odd that none of these balance shaft issues are on the FPace or other 2L inline engines , well none I have seen , and these engines are all from the same factory .
It seems a symptom of the D8 platform as with oil dilution.

Re: Thoughts on Merc E220d Cabriolet

OK - I thought LR were still going with In Control Apps. I know the current RRS does not have AA/ACP. The handling of the cabriolet is not as sharp as a BMW, but in all honesty its a 1845kg full size 4 seater cabriolet; if I wanted something fun to drive I'd buy a Mk2 Ford Focus, find some quiet B ...

Re: Thoughts on Merc E220d Cabriolet

Good review and some great points . I looked long and hard at the GLC when I last changed , but found the steering and road holding not as good as Jaguar , it just didn’t feel as planted , how is it on the Eclass? I think anything is light years ahead of the basic ICTP, that’s perhaps why it has bee...

Re: JLR investors day presentation

JLR have announced this lunchtime that workers are to move to a 3 day week. I wonder how long before Lode Lane and Halewood follow suit? https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/jaguar-castle-bromwich-live-updates-15162042 A heavily biased article from a region desperate to save jobs is ...

Re: Front grille came loose without any apparent reason

See your dealers first, if they are not willing to repair under warranty I’d speak to CRC for advise.
This is a known issue , my last but one DS had a loose clip issue at the bottom but was fixed under warranty.

Re: Roof rail bolt cover

You could try a scrappy? Must be one around somewhere with roof rails on it .
Try searching accident damaged DS. You’ll get a few pictures and if you get one it will be cheap .

Or failing that write to the manufacturer.?
