Re: Do i buy one?

I’d go new if you can , MY17 is in B Pillar ticking territory so may be a gamble worth stealing clear of.

Re: Hi all

Welcome!
I suppose another Freelander with the 2.2 might be an option . There’s still some low milers out there but getting harder to find as time goes on.

Re: Unable to select Reverse on Auto Box

I’m sure I saw someone else on here with that issue also disappeared after restart.
Can only be selector module or failure to detect foot on break and car stopped , does it select the other gears at the time the fault appears ? .....that would certainly point to selector if so.

Re: Moving from Diesel DS to Petrol DS: worth the effort?

However I took out a DS P290 from dealers and the mpg was far lower . The p290 in the DS is called the p300 in the FPace, again I think this is the weight ratios and aerodynamics having an effect .the engine and Turbo is the same. As expected the P300 FPace drinks more they are getting high 20s on l...

Re: Moving from Diesel DS to Petrol DS: worth the effort?

Barnsh, you must drive with an egg under the accelerator, I can't believe 230Kg less weight gives you 8-14mpg more - the official figures are only 3mpg apart (for combined, but we know all about those) I reckon everywhere you go must be downhill with a following wind home! :-) Nope, it gets a good ...

Re: Moving from Diesel DS to Petrol DS: worth the effort?

The upside to petrol is you have your car in your drive and not at the dealers 😀 No DPF issues No adblue No incorrect def quality No driving around wasting fuel to make sure the DPF can regenerate when it suddenly decides it needs to without any warning, or starts regeneration just as you pull into ...

Re: Moving from Diesel DS to Petrol DS: worth the effort?

Crumbs, I can get up to 52mpg with four passengers from my petrol DS. Five miles driving and five miles, all pushing. Although it does take a heck of a time to get anywhere    Seriously though, I have had 30mpg from it in the first 200 or so miles from new - taking it easy. But sinc...

Re: Moving from Diesel DS to Petrol DS: worth the effort?

If you don’t need 7 seats go take a look at the 25t FPace. Best change I ever made from the diesel DS ! Love it and getting 32-38 mpg In it too (in D not eco) Barnsh, you must drive with an egg under the accelerator, I can't believe 230Kg less weight gives you 8-14mpg more - the official figures ar...

Re: Advice on best main dealer

Highlander had a pretty bad experience with parks , painful rejection of his D5. On a good note they are utterly clueless on consumer law so rejection succeeded , but bad to deal with in a troublesome situation 😂 Appreciate a lot of folks do have good dealers , but the only way to class a dealer as ...
