Re: 2022 Specification changes

Sorry for the delay in responding. Configurator quite clearly says toughened glass, not laminated. Toughened glass still shatters easily, just does so in cubes rather than lethal shrads. The text imprinted on my panoramic roof states: FUYAO LAMINATED CCC E000001 V-XI DOT459 M4248 AS3 E4 43R - 00040...

Re: 2022 Specification changes

Pan roofs are also made from strengthened laminated glass (like the windshield). I presume that with your concern of glass shattering and sunlight, you drive a commercial vehicle with no side or rear windows. Just in case they shatter? Too many glass roofs are shattering. Especially fixed ones. Tha...

Re: 2022 Specification changes

Just close the roof blind ;-) Please tell me how closing the blind will prevent glass shatter, prevent strong sunlight from still getting through. That was a joke! Hence the smilie. But as you asked so nicely, most comprehensive car insurance policies cover the pan roof. Although no one I know has ...

Re: 2022 Specification changes

Can't have a D200 or P250 without a glass roof. Looks like I won't by having one.

Re: Cold

The engine temperature is immaterial, as all DS have an electric PTC Heater fitted as standard. If you are unable to feel warm air within a couple of minutes of starting the vehicle, then you will need to have the fault diagnosed properly. Hi Sarah, are the MY20 and 21 diesels still fitted with PTC...

Re: Exterior Lights Help

Apparently the official Press Release for the MY20 F-Pace said rear DRLs were discontinued to save fuel. :) LEDs , what's the saving ? 0.000000001 MPG ?

Re: Headrests in uncomfortable position

Certainly not a problem in all modern cars. A couple of Evoque road tests made mention of it. One in particular said it just needed a wee bit more seat adjustment to get comfy. I sat in one and did notice the position of the head restraint. Just sitting there it wasn't enough to annoy me, don't know...

Re: Heater ineffective from 16 to 23 degrees

All L550 UK-derivative builds with Climate Control have a PTC as standard. (Excludes Pure edition). As did its predecessor, L359 For the record, I am in Coventry, UK Sarah, that's good to hear, as more and more Manufacturers are no longer fitting PTC Heaters to UK diesels. It seems to be the attitu...
